Summary/Abstract: The paper analyzes the features of cultural adaptation and assimilation of Western genres of pop art 60-90 of XX century, including rock and roll, jazz, rhythm and blues, euro-disco, traditional English, the others, the condition of Ukrainian music traditions that led to the formation of a single original genre.
