Summary/Abstract: This study is focused on the manner through which the isolation plays a very important role in Constantin Noica’s thought. Starting with „the isolation from history‟ (Mathesis) to „the isolation from Goethe‟ this idea becomes a red thread. Therefore, Constantin Noica’s thought describes the defining of philosophy, its sense and, finally, its success or its failure.
