Summary/Abstract: The article deals with problematic issues of Czech legislation regarding the coverage of an election campaign in television broadcasting and audio visual media services on demand. The starting point for analysis is Recommendation CM/Rec (2007)15 of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe and especially recommendations contained there regarding the supervisory body independence from political influence and regarding the realization of the right to reply during an election campaign.
