Summary/Abstract: Labeling of organic products is very important not only due to ensuring recognition and traceability, but also due to building consumer trust to organic market. The aim of the article is to present the rules of labeling of organic products and to indicate most common mistakes made during the organic labeling. The different types of organic products from organic shops in Cracow were analyzed during the research. Verification included correctness of organic labeling with EU organic logo, especially: colour, size and proportions of the logo, typography, placement of code numbers and place of farming. As a result, it was possible to identify irregularities in organic labeling. Irregularities were found in 77% of the products but the most important is that only 3% of the irregularities can cause a real harm to traceability
