ANALYSIS OF THE STATE OF CONSCIOUSNESS OF RISK OF FLOODS PHENOMENON IN CROSS-BORDER AREA OF BIAŁA GŁUCHOŁASKA RIVER BASIN

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study was to examine the level of flooding awareness of residents of the catchment of cross-border river. The authors analyzed the empirical level of consciousness on a group of 300 residents of the study area, using a questionnaire. Biała Głuchołaska basin is located on the territory of the Czech Republic and the Polish Republic, and because of the transboundary nature of the results of studies of river basins included residents of both countries. The subjects were divided into six age groups, the youngest study participants were seven years old and the oldest over sixty-six. All respondents answered 25 questions.
