Theoretical aspects of network economy formation

Summary/Abstract: The author analyzes a network economy as a qualitatively new form of an economic order and activity, which functions on the basis of electronic networks. Properties of the network economy, namely complementarity, commonality, external network effects, a trap effect, economies of scale, are considered.The author determines that under conditions of the network economy the intellectual property obtains an especial role. This is explained by the intellectualization of property that causes significant changes within the whole economic system of the post-industrial society.
