On the Deputies Bill of 29 April 2016 on the Amendment of the Act on the Constitutional Tribunal

Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to a bill drafted by a group of opposition members (the PolishPeasant Party) to amend the Act on the Constitutional Tribunal of 2015. The Author discusses the legal and factual conditions of the legislative initiative, the justification of the draft, the scope and merits of the proposed amendments, the attitude of the ruling majority to the draft, the course of parliamentary work. The analysis focuses in particular on the assessment of the conformity of the submitted draft with the Constitution of the Republic of Poland.
