Summary/Abstract: The article will discuss the issue of preparing the young generation for fulfilment of the parental roles in relation to ongoing socio-cultural and civilizational changes. In times of transformations the paradigm of the role of ‘mother’ and ‘father’ fulfilment has changed which entails the necessity of undertaking activities in terms of widely understood education for parenthood.Parental roles are one of the most important areas of the functioning of an adult. They are an area of self-fulfilment, a wellspring for finding purpose in life, as well as an element in the process of forming one’s own identity. By fulfilling parental duties, both a woman and a man gain an opportunity to increase satisfaction, experience joy and complacency. Parenthood entails a task to perform for a child which includes a number of activities and procedures related to care and education. It should be emphasised that valuable parenthood should be taught and it is a significant aspect of education.
