Summary/Abstract: The poetic collection Leaf and rose (Gjeth e lule, 1924) by Vinçenc Prennushi is a work influenced by Franciscan school. It is characterized by its idiomatic style. Although there is a similarity with the Gjergj Fishta, Prennushi style is more local and less dramatic. Starting from the title itself, this summary presents a subtle poet which articulates with poetic fluidity and a lyrical spirit his personal, religious and national motivations. Within the ideas that present his religious formation and his national stance, Prennushi displays a caution also to poetic form and structure, insisting on organizing its rhythm and verses. Following the pattern of the North poetry, but being unique in style and creative originality, Prennushi will articulate its poetic expression, driven by patriotic and religious inspiration.
