Summary/Abstract: In Orthodox tradition, the most central event in the Gospels - The Resurrection of Christ - is usually not depicted. In other words, this ineffable moment is not accessible to human comprehension. Normally Orthodox iconography called “Christ’s Resurrection” depict Christ’s descent into hell, or Christ’s appearance after the Resurrection. In this paper, we will try to understand the nature of the icon, and in this sense, we will examine the representations of Christ’ Resurrection in the Orthodox iconography.
