Summary/Abstract: It is shown that the present choirmaster, conductor must have especially broad knowledge, rich erudition in various fields ranging from ear training, music history and vocal pedagogy and psychology to. An analysis of scientific achievements musicology found that the current state of conducting and choral art in Ukraine is rather difficult to assess.
