Summary/Abstract: The author outlines the different positions at the European Union level regarding the revision of the Directive 96/71 / EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 December 1996 on the posting of workers in the framework of the provision of services so as to reduce the phenomena social dumping and damage to the rights of posted workers. In this context, the essential the content of the proposal for amending Directive 96/71 / EC and the position of the Romanian authorities regarding the new provisions under discussion are presented.
