Music and Drama Techniques as Ludic and Therapeutic Activities

Summary/Abstract: The article presents basic definitions, classifications, divisions concerning disabilities, including intellectual disability. The author outlines forms of rehabilitation available to people with disabilities, particularly music therapy which is part of art therapy. The author also discusses the role of play in general human development. Apart from that, she emphasizes the role of drama techniques applied in therapy, as well as their relation to art therapy and play. The author makes references to her own experience in the field, that is application of these forms of therapy in working with people with disabilities.
