Political Activity of Anna Jabłonowska nee Sapieha During the Bar Confederation in Light of Her Letters to Teofila Sapieha nee Jabłonowska Between 1768—1772

Summary/Abstract: The article aims at presenting the political activity of Anna Jabłonowska during the Bar Confederation. The research is based on the letters of Anna Jabłonowska, the wife of the Voivod of Bracław, to Teofila Sapieha, kept in the Stefanyk National Science Library in Lvov. The author discusses first and foremost the events which took place in the Great Duchy of Lithuania, paying particular attention to the conflict between Józef Sapieha and Michał Ogiński, regarding the leadership position over the confederate Lithuanian forces, as well as the issues regarding the political involvement of the duchess.
