Summary/Abstract: The article researches the evaluation of the Russian revolution of 1917 events in circles of the socialist-revolutionary emigration. Special attention is paid to the materials of the conference of the Prague group of the party of revolutionary socialists which took place in 1931. Analyzed is the perception by emigrants of the role of the party of the revolutionary socialists, intelligentsia, working class, the peasantry, individuals, program and tactical questions. Provided is the analysis of events of 1917 in works of the party leader V. M. Chernov. Considered is the article of the revolutionary socialist M. V. Vishnyak researching common problems and characteristic features of history of neo-populism in Russia, the reasons of its defeat. The conclusion is drawn that the revolutionary socialists in emigration considered the weakness of those public forces on which democratic socialism could rely in Russia (including intelligentsia) the main reason of their defeat.
