KŁOPOTY Z „DYSKURSEM”: PRÓBA ZDEFINIOWANIA POJĘCIA
‘DISCOURSE’ PROBLEMS: AN ATTEMPT TO DEFINE THE NOTION

Summary/Abstract: The paper is an attempt to clarify some problems emerging from the inconsequent usage of the term ‘discourse’ in Polish scholarly writings. After a brief review of the way the term has been used in Ph.D theses’ titles and abstracts, I propose, on the basis of the theories of discourse by M. Foucault and P. Ricoeur, to accept a more precise and narrow version of the term.
