Summary/Abstract: In each society there exist groups whose aim is to introduce various changes and novelties into the contemporary culture. Members of different groups adopt lifestyles with value systems, norms and codes of conduct distinct from commonly accepted and acknowledged in a certain culture and followed by the general public. The way the groups, typically referred to as subcultures, function bases on partial or complete opposition against each other as well as destroying commonly accepted norms and values. The important part of an informal group’s existence is a relative stability of the bond within a group. The common characteristic of subcultures is a lack of acceptance for the commonly accepted norms of behaviour. A subculture is a formation which undoubtedly disturbs the right resocialization process and which comes in opposition to all resocialization actions undertaken.
