Summary/Abstract: The monastery of Albotin, situated 21 km south-west of the town of Vidin, is presented in this paper. The important role of Hesychasm in the monastery ideological life is amongst the factors, determining the interest of Historians toward this monument of medieval and modern sacral architecture.
