Summary/Abstract: This article presents the cognitive biases linked to the heuristic of the existenceand predominance of negativity. Their impact when assessing economic risk was empirically verified. For this purpose the credit rating assessment of 141 busines scompanies, prepared by specialists having more than 5 years experience, has been researched. The behavioral analysis of the experts reveals the significant impact, which the predominance of negativity exerts on economic risk assessment.
