Children’s music as a component of the Ukrainian song variety

Summary/Abstract: The article reveals the peculiarities of the children’s music as a component of the Ukrainian song variety. The nature of the children’s song is considered, the properties of the children’s musical creativity in the comparison with the musical material of the popular culture are identified. The author analyses the reasons for the choosing by children the products of the popular musical culture, their interest in the song variety. Traditionally every person as a child is collaborating with the magical world of the music which is simple, understandable for a child songs of the various genres from the lullabies up to the play, but obligatory with the harmonious combination of the sounds. The songs and instrumental specific – for age purpose, content and imagery systems, the way of the presentation – refer to the concept of children’s music. Dating back to its roots in the ancient times, the children’s music serves as a original way of the knowing the world around. The musical culture largely is obliged of their city, industrial and post-industrial massovization ways of the vital functions of the society and the standardization of its social and cultural stereotypes. The specified genre organically is intertwined with the high culture or at least “feeds” at the expense of the latter. The same thing happens with children’s pop culture with the relevant in the connection with the consequences. The works of the mass culture are created with the mostly professionals, deliberately adapting the complex texts in the poorly educated audience, particularly available for the children or adolescent public. Those simplified valuable contents that they mass culture broadcast through the specific reason, are formed under the laws of the traditional culture. Thus, the staying of the today’s children in the space of the mass musical culture ensures that the children as you grow older tend to their preferences to the music popular culture, variety texts of which attract the children with its dynamic, rhythmic patterns, easy rhyme. It is given that the interest of the adolescents in the musical culture about the modern electronic equipment and which are under the guidance of the qualified teachers. The variety music is an essential component of the Ukrainian music culture, but it should reflect on its role not only in the society but also in the formation of the worldview and behaviours in the child psychology.
