What is a ‘smart city’ concept and how we should call it in Polish

Summary/Abstract: Both increasing human population and techonological development bring the very dynamic changes in the modern societies. The fundamental arena where all these factors meet is the city which has changed very rapidly. One of the key solutions which aim to make the life in the cities more comfortable, efficient and sustainable is the “smart city” concept. In the Polish language we got used to translate it as an “intelligent city”, which does not help to understand the core of this concept. Then, what is a smart city and how we should call it in Polish in order to understand it better?
