Summary/Abstract: The text reviews the Hungarian edition of the famous Slovenian writer’s novel. The author interprets the story of a prison rebellion as a peculiar parallel of the Jewish Masada-myth known from Josephus Flavius. ’The ancient fortress of Masada, and a prison in the city of M. have a direct, explicit relation with each other - at least in the head of Keber, the protagonist and the narrator of the events in the prison.’
