Fyodor Stravinsky and Ukraine: Historiography, Vectors of Research Topics

Summary/Abstract: The article proposes an analysis of the knowledges state of the Fyodor Stravinsky’s life (1843–1902) and his Ukrainian relations. On the basis of newspaper articles, letters, memoirs of contemporaries of the artist and available scientific publications traced the main stages of the evolution of researchers interested in the work of the singer (witness during the life of the artist). Identified causes incomplete of scrutiny of F. Stravinsky’s figure and growing interest for it of modern scientists. The prospect of source search associated with the elucidation of the role and place of Ukrainian culture in the Creativity of Stravinsky.
