Summary/Abstract: One of the elements of early education in Poland is learning the basics of music, knowledge of instruments and elements of musical hearing. At the turn of 2015 and 2016, the Institute of Music and Dance in Warsaw conducted a study of the level of musical education of children in classes I-III schools. In this study were conducted interviews with children and their teachers. The children responded to questions about their interest in music, as well as questions related to their knowledge and skills achieved in school. The teachers were asked about the conditions and opportunities for music classes in school. The study included spatial diversity of schools, the number of school divisions in institutions and type of locality. The aim of this study is to assess the level of early musical education of children in Poland.
