Summary/Abstract: For today the use of digital computer technologies allowed to the fine art to show new innovative approaches in the artistic reflection of reality. Digital computer technologies radically transformed the structure of fine art and defined the necessity of his comprehension and exposure of novelty of facilities of computer graphics for planning of visual image, that is certain actuality of select theme of research. The digital painting is the new type of art, where traditional technicians (water-colour, oil) are imitated by means of computer and software. All programs for the digital painting imitate the use of instruments through brushes and coloured effects. In such programs, brushes are recreated by the technicians of the traditional painting (oil, acrylic, pastel, feather and others like that). Most programs of the digital painting have possibility to create own styles, using combination of form and texture. New materials always provoked changes in an art and caused different experiments in painting, namely: new pigments, facilities and methods of causing of paint. The digital painting does not need artistic materials, that is why his becoming after creation of new devices for computer graphics. In 1980-2000 development of the personal computers and distribution of commercial graphic software stipulated the mass pattern of the use of digital computer technologies in a fine art. In this period, the address of artists to programming became the intelligent choice of strategy of artistic work. Development of digital computer technologies allowed to the artists considerably to extend the limits of arts researches, including due to new possibilities in-process with a color. In this period displacement of interests is traced in researches in direction of computer imitation of traditional technician of fine art that comes true within the framework of computer graphics. The digital painting allows to use practically all artistic facilities of the traditional painting, foremost: color and light. Thus, as well as in the undigital painting, a color comes forward as a difficult system, and light – inseparable from a color. The processes of creation of digital and traditional picturesque works do not have fundamental differences, the same process of choice of paint, brushes and paper, robot with them, mixing of colors, prescribing of layers of paint. Excellent is only job: in the traditional painting is an easel, and in digital is a monitor. Creation of visual image facilities of computer graphics is actual, as it gives new possibilities in the transmission of opinion of author and forming of more detailed psychological context, this process is related to mushroom growth of computer technologies and dynamic development of society. Computer graphics are used for creation of illustrations, treatment of photos in magazines, books and in other variants of serve of graphic design. Such images are widely used in a virtual environment, there is the Internet in a network. Volume, determination of features of level of knowledge that a designer must own, for creation of visual artistic composition is actual. Thus, the digital painting has large prospects of development in the future, it can be traced already today. In fact many artists-illustrators in Ukraine and abroad already work in the direction of the digital painting, the authorial technicians offer in creation of images, lessons develop video for those, who only begins to meet with a digital computer depicting art.
