Summary/Abstract: Katarzyna Chmielewska’s text presents in a short and synthetic way the history of Marxist literary research in Poland. The text presents both orthodox Marxism and so its later changes. The author pays particular attention to the paradoxical phenomenon of Marxism without Marx, and so Marx’s anathemas in the 1990s, when the researcher was thunderingly rejecting his achievements and benefiting from his inspiration.
