Demographic Changes and Territorial Implications in the Space of the Kupres Plateau

Summary/Abstract: Territory of the Kupres has dispersed population characterized by low population density, deployed in 36 villages of which only Kupres (FBiH) has the character of the city. Significant differences in the overall demographic development of this area are caused by changes in the natural movement, as well as the dynamics and migration trends in the population. Four years of war left the serious socio-economic and demographic consequences in particular, which will be manifested in the coming period of demographic development Kupres. Contemporary demographic situation is the result of complex interactions resulted from the mutual action of elements of natural environment and socio-economic processes.
