Summary/Abstract: F. Liszt’s piano heritage has an immense volume and inexhaustible variety of plots. It belongs to the musical art world Treasury. The genius composer-romantic reached the transcendent in both his virtuoso composition and philosophical understanding his art images. The artist’s piano heritage shows the various number of genres in both his original compositions (concerts, sonatas, rhapsodies, different cycles, etudes, miniatures) and compositions based on the other composers’ works (transcriptions, fantasies, reminiscences, paraphrases, illustrations, partitions). The special group of the composer’s heritage is formed with the transcriptions, marked as Reminiscences. Though the Reminiscences are popular and the demand is rather high, there are not many of their studies. Most part of them are rather debatable so that discrepancies in the Reminiscences cause the idea of the problem in connection with the theme of the study. The aim of the study is to form the idea used by F. Liszt forming opera images. The theme of the study caused the material choice which is formed with the nine Reminiscences written by the composer and based on the operas written by G. Donizetti, V. Bellini, G. Meyerbeer, W. A. Mozart, G. Verdi.
