Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the varieties of Sevres porcelain imitation. We emphasize that Sevres manufactory were the most frequently imitated. Such a situation was caused by growing demand since the nineteenth century till today. Despite the high quality of imitations an expert must be able to distinguish the copy from original. The article describes main historical periods of imitations of Sevres porcelain and also modern market of antiques and variety of fakes that can happen there. Art products designed to bring aesthetic pleasure to the audience. However, when we deal with the identification or monetization of art, its historical value and level of performance are carefully analyzed. Therefore, the definition or the historical financial value of the work is an important and multi-stage procedure. Before expert valuers raise the problem of accurate attribution.
