Summary/Abstract: The aim of the study was to evaluate the scale of contrasts in the group of rural gminas in Poland, due to their income situation. The Gini coefficient (Gt), the Dt and the quintile Kt are used to assess the level of disproportions. The source data come from the budgetary reports of the local government units, which are at the disposal of the National Regional Councils of the Accounting Chamber and the Ministry of Finance.
