The impact of risk of agricultural activities on productivity and price of rape in the Wielkopolska Voivodeship in the years 2005-2014

Summary/Abstract: Risk is an inherent part of business. In the case of agriculture business plays a key role. Identifying and measuring the impact of risk on the productivity and price of oilseed rape requires understanding its essence. Quantifying and capturing risk is one of the most frequently studied topics in the field of economic sciences. The aim of the article is to determine the impact of climate related risk on the productivity and price of rapeseed in Wielkopolska. The study period covered the years 2005-2014. Empirical studies have shown that climatic conditions are an important factor influencing the productivity and price of rape.
