Summary/Abstract: Communication is one of the defining factors in people’s coexistence within a society, organizing their social lives. They daily interact to achieve their communicative goals in order to maintain specific relationships.The article deals with the analysis of the communication aspects that govern people’s verbal interaction. It studies the communicative process as well as the strategies applied to have a successful interaction on the example of Nicolas Sarkozy’s electoral slogan of 2012. It examines both the preferred and dispreferred responses that every communicative act may involve.
