Summary/Abstract: The tendencies in the changes of number of population, changes of number of households and changes of population density in Raska municipality were effected by natural, historic and economic factors, as well as its geographical position. The continious population number decrease lead to population dencity decrease. Population number decrease is not followed by household number decrease, because patriarchal family is disappearing. Population is mainly concentrated in urban areas, so rural areas of Raška municipality are affected by depopulation. According to Cencus data since 1961 to 2002, population of Raška municipality is affected by negative demographic procesis. In this research different methods are used (cartographic, statistics, analytics and synthetics), and results could be used in various science researches, such are population geography, tourismology and spatial planning researches.
