Summary/Abstract: After the changes in the policy of the People’s Republic of China and the departure of the doctrine of Mao Zedong, his successor Deng Xiaoping directed the country’s economy to new heights. Over the next few years, China’s economic development has led to spectacular achievements that have made China the second-largest economic power in the world in 2015. One of the ways to achieve this success was the creation and development of Special Economic Zones. The successful example of this concept served as a starting point for the commercial and industrial expansion of the PRC, especially for the African continent. Despite some difficulties and threats, the efforts made in modernizing the economy open up both Africa and China a new perspective of economic prosperity and an increase in the standard of living of the population.
