Summary/Abstract: Site-ul unei biblioteci trebuie să deservească un scop practic. El este folosit ca un instrument de marketing on-line și în general este mijlocul de acces la distanță la informații puse ladispoziție de bibliotecă. Articolul abordează tema analizei uzabilității unui site. În contextul analizat uzabilitatea se referă la: conținutul site-ului, structura site-ului, design-ul site-ului, elementele de navigare, interacțiunea cu vizitatorul. Este subliniată importanța tot mai mare pe care o are crearea unei pagini Web, enumerând câteva reguli pentru a obține o pagină Web eficientă. În final, autoarea realizează o scurtă trecere în revistă și analiză a homepage-urilor bibliotecilor publice românești. The site of a library must cater for a practical purpose. The site is used as an on-line marketing instrument and,in general, is the way of accessing the information offered by the library from a distance. The article approaches the theme of analysis of the usability of a site. Under the given context, the usability refers to the content of the site, the structure of the site, the design of the site, the elements of navigation, and the interaction with the visitor.It is underlined the growing importance which the creation of a Web page has and there are presented some rules to obtain an efficient web page. Finally, the author makes a short presentation and analysis of the Romanian public libraries homepages.
