Summary/Abstract: Polish labor market has been experiencing deep demographic changes within the population structure. It has been mostly connected with the significant increase of older people in the society. Continously decreasing number of births and extending average of life expectancy results in aging population process. In parallel, total population volume keeps continously decreasing. These changes are challenges to the labor market policy, aiming to increase the activity rate of the elders. Taking into consideration the unsufficiency of human resources because of demographic changes the importance of the labor market policy is increasing. The aim of the article is to highlight demographic changes due to aging society phenomenon on the Polish labor market. Polish Statistical Institute (GUS) and Euro-Stat data were used to perform the research.
