Green areas in the new concepts of development of cities and metropolis on selected examples

Summary/Abstract: New concepts of cities grow from the criticism of the phenomenon of uncontrolled development of industrial cities. Their idea is to improve the standards of living in the city. The basis for the creation of new cities are modern engineering and technologies, human capital and the sustainable management of environmental resources and a high level of protection. The ultimate goal is to achieve a high level of security of inhabitants, easier and faster transport and access to all kinds of services and increasingly higher standards of space and landscape of new urban structures. These examples of the new concept of urban development represent the most important strands of the urban design in Europe and the world, for which the green areas are an important part of modern urban structures.
