Summary/Abstract: The text represents the spiritual portrait of Suba Vasova – mother of the poet Ivan Vasov. Some facts of her biography are stressed, and an unpublished letter to her son – Boris Vasov is represented. A special attention is paid to her poetical abilities, and her remarkable memoirs, connected mainly with the tragic historical events in 1877 – the burning of the town of Sopot by the Turks and the suffering of its population.
