ESTABLISHING DISCIPLINE IN CLASSROOM AND PREVENTING INDISCIPLINE

Summary/Abstract: Indiscipline or undesirable behaviour in the classroom has always been a part and parcel of teaching process, but a skilled and motivated teacher can successfully bring such behaviours to a satisfactory level. The concept of managing the class refers to the behaviour of a teacher and the elements of organisation that brings about a positive learning atmosphere. This article deals with the issue of discipline in the classroom and creating an atmosphere that would aid learning and growth of students provided by the plan and programme.
