Summary/Abstract: Polymer matrix composites used for different cable coatings or pipes, are fabricated from materials containing various kinds of powder fillers or fibrous. Properties and structure of these materials depend on the type of added ingredients, their miscibility and quantity. Proper processing method also plays an important role, which allows for obtaining products of homogeneous reproducible properties. The composition was prepared by extrusion with changed processing parameters according to solid plastics. The roughness of obtained shapes was measured with the use of linear method. Results shows that adding blowing agent has a significant influence on mechanical properties.
