Summary/Abstract: The author of the diffusion theory of innovation is Everett Rogers - an American sociologist, who in 1962 published a book entitled "Diffusions of innovations", presenting the issues related to the dissemination of a new solution within the market. The presented concept of diffusion of innovation is still current and can be applied to almost every sector that brings a new product to market.
