Information engineering and redesigning the library activitie

Summary/Abstract: Acest articol prezintă modalitățile de adaptare a serviciilor oferite de bibliotecă în contextul actual al dinamicii informaționale. Sunt discutate tehnologiile existente din două perspective: cea a științei calculatoarelor și, respectiv, cea a biblioteconomiei. Ipoteza noastră este că instrumentația tehnică în știința calculatoarelor este compatibilă și converge spre noile tendințe din biblioteconomie. This paper presents the strategies of updating the services which the library provides to its users in the current context of information dynamics. The existing technologies are discussed from two perspectives: computer science and respectively, library science viewpoint. Our hypothesis states that technical instrumentation developed in computer science is compatible and converges through the new tendency in library science.
