THE NEED FOR NATO’S TRANSFORMATION. GENERATING FACTORS

Summary/Abstract: The following article presents some aspects regarding NATO’s transformation and factors that initiated or maintained this process. The analysis has focused upon NATO’s transformation from the conceptual, structural and operational point of view. Social changes, military transformation,asymmetrical threats, Capability Commitment,modular force structure, Effects Based Approach to Operations are concepts which the Romanian Armed Forces have to consider thoroughly and also developing other new ones, for growing firm our country’s profile within the Alliance.
