Summary/Abstract: In this article I shall dwell on some of the characteristic features of gender arrangements in Bulgarian society in the conditions of postsocialist transformation, by showing that having been established in the course of four decades of state socialism, the gender order is functioning in the control of the postsocialist everyday life and is changing, in some way, parallel to it. I hope, that in this way I shall adduce my arguments to the theses that in order to understand the transformation processes, one has to find the crossing points between the social macro-processes and the microlevel, and moreover that the changes in the Lebenswelte, gender roles, in the values and practices require an analysis within a broad cultural context...
