Preaching the Parish Fair Sermons

Summary/Abstract: As reflection on sermons and homilies during parish fair is not widely developed in Polish homiletics – that is why the author has indicated this problem bringing back the current theory of such sermons – emphasizing their significance, content and form. At the same time, he has stressed that each sermon of such type should be prepared very carefully. The examples concerning speeches addressed to gathered crowds may also be helpful while preaching the parish fair sermon. Those preaching the parish fair sermons should draw indications coming from sermons on Triune God, Christ, Mary, angels and saints. It would also be advisable to analyse the printed and recorded parish fair sermons – which may allow to know the changes that occure in such kind of Church word ministry.
