Measures and assessment criteria of digital collections

Summary/Abstract: Articolul abordează tema digitizării la nivelul structurilor infodocumentare, menţionând atât avantaje, cât şi dezavantaje ale acestui proces pentru biblioteci şi pentru utilizatorii acestora. Este subliniată importanţa tot mai mare pe care activitatea de evaluare a colecţiilor digitale o dobândeşte pe măsură ce numărul şi dimensiunea acestora cresc şi sunt prezentate unele măsuri şi criterii de evaluare propuse de specialiştii domeniului. The article approaches the theme of digitisation at the level of the infodocumentary structures, mentioning both advantages and disadvantages of this process for libraries and their users. It is underlined the growing importance which the evaluation of the digital collections gets along with the increasing of their number and size and there are presented some evaluation measures and criteria proposed by the specialists of the field.
