Summary/Abstract: This article deals with the issue of the monetary value of health and human life with respect to the development of socio-economic development strategies. The focus has been placed on the listing and evaluation of methodologies for the valuation of life and health and identifying areas of possible applications. At the same time, attempts were made to clarify the reasons why these methods are met with moderate interest of public entities. The summary lists the areas in which the use of health and life valuation methods can contribute to improving the quality of the processes of diagnosis and increasing the efficiency of strategic plans.
