Summary/Abstract: It was towards the end of the Olomouc Linguistics Colloquium in June 2014 that Joe Emonds raised the possibility of another Central European linguistics conference. Olinco had been running for two consecutive years and the organisers planned to take a break and resume as a biannual event starting in 2016. Joe’s idea was that the other event could take place in the odd years in between.
