GREEN ECONOMY – THE PARADIGM OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF AGRO-ECOSYSTEMS IN UKRAINE

Summary/Abstract: Some possibilities to apply green economy in order to achieve sustainable development of agro-ecosystems in Ukraine are described in the article. On the basis of the comparison of such definitions as “sustainable development” and “green economy” it was concluded that green economy is organizational and economic fundamentals for sustainable development. The analysis of agro-ecosystems of Ukraine is performed and the extensive method of farming leading to the deterioration of the ecological conditions of agro-ecosystems is determined. Management mechanism of sustainable development of agro-ecosystems in Ukraine based on the concept of “green economy” is suggested.
