INTRODUCING COMPULSORY PROPERTY INSURANCE - AS A MEANS OF IMPROVING THE ORGANIZATIONAL AND ECONOMIC MECHANISM DAMAGES FROM FLOODS IN THE CARPATHIAN REGION

Summary/Abstract: The article substantiates the need to improve the organizational and economic mechanism of prevention, mitigation and emergency response, analyzes the main factors that induce the flooding and damage from them in the Carpathian region. It is here described the existing mechanism of its compensation in Ukraine and abroad. Author prompted the introduction of compulsory property insurance on flood dangerous areas from natural disasters to facilitate more complete damage compensation and reduce the costs of state and local budgets.
